10 killed as van collides with truck in Vehari


 
VEHARI: At leat ten persons including four children were killed in an accident when a passenger van collided with a truck due to which the CNG cylinder in the van exploded Saturday, Geo News reported.

The accident occurred at Melsi Road near Sultanpur area.

According to rescue sources, ten persons including four children were burnt and many injured when the CNG cylinder of a van exploded and caught fire due to collision with a truck at Melsi Road.

The sources told that at least 18-20 persons were traveling in the van. The number of casualties is feared to increase.

Rescue teams reached the incident spot while efforts are underway to transfer the victims to the nearby hospital.
